I get the basic gist. Cut the top off, which I did. Then cut some air holes in the side. I didn't really know how many of those to cut. And my angle grinder was cutting pretty thin slices. So I kept going and going and eventually cut 30 total slices. But they're so thin, I don't know if this is actually enough air flow?
Also keep in mind the goal of this barrel is not to have a nice cozy fire to hang out by. The point is to have a raging inferno inside to burn through a mountain of brush as fast and hot as possible.
As I"m making this post, It just occured to me that I could stick a flathead screwdriver into each hole and pry in the same rotationally direction. That would make each hole a little bigger and also give the incoming air a little spiral action which may help mix it around and burn faster?
