Hello there. I'm currently doing a DIY backyard Patio. I've done all the steps required before putting down the pavers, which should be the easy part, but I'm running into an issue here.
I ordered several Bluestone pieces from a masonry to fit into my patio space. No pattern was attached and there are 10 different sizes of various quantities. I'm not entirely sure on how to place these stones without any gaps. I called up the masonry and they said there was no pattern, that the pieces should fit together to make a perfect rectangle, and that my Mason would know how to put them together (I don't have a Mason, I'm doing this myself).
The patio space is 17'x14', roughly 238sqft. The breakdown of the paver stones is as follows:
The total sqft is actually 10sqft less than requested (228 instead of 238). I guess my question is, how do Mason's know how to put these together without a pattern? This seems like a unique assortment of shapes since I've looked online and seen nothing too helpful. Are there software programs out there that fit these pavers together in a shape?
This is the closest fitting pattern I could find, but some of the shapes I don't have, so I guess I can't use this. Also, it doesn't seem like it will fit into a rectangle without cutting. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!
