I'm hanging gutters around my porch. I looked online for some tips. One thing that comes up a lot is how far below the shingles the gutters get hanged.
I started hanging mine based on a This Old House episode which said to hang the gutters low enough so that snow sliding off the roof won't damage the gutters (about 2 inches below the shingles). Others say the gutter should be tucked up under the drip edge.
I most likely am going to redo what I've done anyway because I'm not happy with the home depot method of mitered corners (too many pieces, prefab mitered corners get attached with seamers)
Before I continue, I want to get your ideas.
As usual any suggestions are welcome.
TIA
