Hi all...I am in the process of renovation a 1988 14x70 single wide mobile home which did not have overhangs and whatever tiny gutter it had originally was long gone.
I finally got done with the remediation of one side. Damaged framing/subflooring was replaced and I installed zip sheathing.
The original rolled metal roofing is in good condition (no leaks), but the portion that overhangs the edge is short and very brittle.
I don't have money in the budget for a new roof, but I really need to build something to prevent further water entry.
My idea is to use something my local Home Depot carries called termite flashing as a gutter apron. Lay this under the old metal roof and over a new gutter.
My concern is can the gutter be screwed on directly to the sheathing.
I drew up the attached detail and also included some photos. As you can see there isnt really any room to put in an actual fascia behind the gutter.
Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.
