I have about 150 sq ft of concrete that has a rough layer of self leveling underlayment on it (it was the Henry self leveling underlayment).
It's thickness varies from about 1/16" to about 1/4".
I've tried chipping it off with a air hammer to see how well it adhered and it came off pretty easy. It's just a TON of work with a small air chisel that is only 1" wide..
So I was looking at a local rental place and they have an EDCO Sec 1.5 concrete grinder. Would I be able to just grind this self leveling layer off? when it chips off it comes off pretty cleanly with the original slab relatively smooth.
Would a grinder like this work in this situation?
Is there a way I could chip this off faster to speed the process up? Or could you skip that step and just grind it down?
