The more important info is the voltage, amps, watts info from a label on machine. What does your's say?

I assume it is 15 amp from picture so any quality replacement plug rated at 15 amps should do.

Looking at info from available online owner's manual:
3.1 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION This machine has a precisely built electrical motor. It should be connected to a power supply that is 120V, 60 Hz, AC only (household). Do not operate this machine on direct current (DC). A considerable voltage drop will cause a loss of power and the motor will be overheated.
Online description:
Motor120V~ 60 Hz, 14 Amps

I would use an extension cord rated at the 14 amps or better for the length you are using it. Most 16 gauge cords are rated for 10 amps for 100'. Your cord was likely not a 14 gauge cord thats why it got hot.

BUT: see what the label on your machine reads as it may be different from online info.
