Please zoom in on picture. Had the front gable vinyl replaced and the both ends aren’t capped off/finished. I feel this isn’t how the job should look and I want to speak to the contractor about it. He mentioned the facia doesn’t come out enough but I think if I wanted the gable to be done, this includes the ends that are circled in the picture. In addition, there’s no j channel at the bottom of the vinyl to give a finished look like it has at the top sides of the triangle. Also where the top meets, it’s not connecting and appears to be open to the elements. Along the bottom of the vinyl I can see the insulation and it’s not sealed. Contrator says he will seal but how will he do this? Shouldn’t the bottom have a trim. I want to make sure the job is done right. Also, the white area under the black vinyl, is that considered part of the gable? There are rust spots and I’m not sure this makes it all come together as expected. I’m not an expert so any advice on telling the contractor what they need to modify is appreciated. Thank you
