My manufactured home has exterior Hardie cement lap siding. The windows are all trimmed with some type of MDF product over an inch thick. Though I have tried to keep it well caulked and painted, the trim is seriously failing having absorbed moisture. Try as I may, I can't seem to match the trim at any of my big boxes.
Making matters worse, at least two of my windows have 48" curved arch tops.
I've been trying to use Hardie trim 3/4" cement board and furring it out on straight boards with cuts from the siding to add thickness. It's not been great..
I'm not sure what to do about the curved trim which will need replacing in spring. Do they still make that MDF product?
