Slim, Did a little google-ing and found the following hint, "You can rip the cord retractor mechanism out of an old vacuum cleaner and repurpose that, depending on how much cord you need available. They're good for about 30 feet or so." or check online for these parts, then assemble them yourself. Here's something from a patent company. Somebody's one step ahead.
