Many more reasons to rethink tankless. I have installed probably 20 over the years and have not had much luck with reliability on them. I used several different brands and they all seem to have there issues.

As stated above you will need to flush and if not done correctly the warranty will be voided.

My experience with the tank less route this may only be the beginning of your frustration. I put in a Navian for my parents and last winter they went 10 days waiting on a warranty part to come in. This summer i picked up a 50 gallon power vent that was a display for a good price and have it as a back up for the next time the tank less goes down.

I put in a Rheem 50 power vent for my cousin back in 2010 and they have never had a hot water issue. they live in a 4200 sq ft house with 5 people.
