Dealing with Black Mold in my Home

A bathroom is a common area for mold issues, lots of moisture. There are a variety of products that can be used to clean up what is there, controversial but I use a dilute bleach mixture. The more important issue as you stated is eliminating the conditions that allowed it to grow. That starts with an exhaust fan that remains on long after the showers end, got to get the excess moisture out. They have delayed timers specifically for that.
Also, taking shorter showers helps.
