Hey all I had started my search for a Mini-Split in late Dec of 2021.
I thought Mitsubishi Mr.Slim might be the way to go or Fujitsu.But the first guy that came out was a Mitsubishi dealer
that has been in the area for awhile, but think he is the Newest owner of that dealership.
He wanted $12,000 for a 2 invertor indoor system.
But I thought maybe I should get a few more people to come in and give me prices.
Next was a Daikin dealer(Never heard of Daikin}He came in with a price of $7800 with the Daikins
4MXS36RMVJUA
FTXS12LVJU
FTXS18LVJU
Then I had a few others that Came in with higher prices on Daikins and others that Sold Samsung at a cheaper price.
But I felt Let me go with the 1st Daikin Dealer since he put down every little thing he was installing on paper.
Had them installed on Jan 8th 2022
I am in the Poconos and the Winters can get Cold,But I felt if these did not keep me warm during the Low Temps that I can just turn on my Electric baseboard heating, and I did that twice when Temps hit 0-10 outside.
During the Winter my Unit would run for 30 mins and shut off for about 4 mins since the outside would also shut off and defrost because of ice{I have not seen any ice but I am sure there must of been a little lol}Think I could have got aways Not Using the baseboard twice during the Winter if I Knew that I could have adjusted with the Remote where to
blow the warm air too.
Had my 1st Warm day 2 days ago and the AC works great,Kept me cool and glad I don't have to put that window unit in no more.But That night and for the next week we will be in the 30s at night so the Heat is back on.
As of now I am very happy with the Mini-Split and wish I bought one years ago.I see many people complain that their Mini-Splits are not working as well as they thought that they would, but Overseas they have been using Mini-Splits for years and Most are Happy with them(You Can see them Hanging from Bombed Ukraine buildings}
If you are thinking of buying a Mini-Split,goooooo with Daikin....................JT
