Unless listed it would technically be a violation. Would it work, probably.

Since WAGO is the manufacturer of the paste and connectors, then WAGO needs to go to UL and get their connecters approved for that use.

If they did, then they're legit.

I still think they're glorified backstabs. I'd be happier to see that tested with lever-nuts.

Out of curiosity, I contacted Wago and asked if their connectors were UL Listed for use with aluminum wire. They confirmed that they are not listed for aluminum.
