I have a Senco PC1131 that ran one day after being stored for awhile pressured up everything worked fine. The next day when turned on motor only hummed, figured capacitor was bad so I

ordered a replacement. New one arrives put it on compressor starts pressures up alls good. The next day motor only hums again. The capacitor is a single pole so not thinking it's a start run capacitor. Picture of original capacitor. Any suggestions?

Before you go doing a bunch, release all the air via the overpressure switch. Sometimes it acts like that when there wasn't any bleed off. Motor can't overcome the head pressure on the compressor.

Does the tank maintain the pressure after the compressor shuts off. If pressure leaks down, the problem could be the tank check valve. If the tank maintains the pressure, it is most likely the head pressure relief valve, built into the pressure switch.
