6/3 NM-B Question

So, for my first post I have an electrical question. Planning on installing a generator inlet box, and would like your thoughts on wiring. I have NM 6/3 wire that I would like to use up and was planning on exiting the panel box in the basement and running on joist for ~30Ft. I then need to turn down the basement block wall for 2Ft. and then go through the block directly into the back of the inlet. What are the best options here? Changeover to THWN in the ceiling then drop down the block wall with PVC conduit and LB? I welcome all thoughts/suggestions.

You can run the NM into the back of the inlet. No need to switch over

Please post pictures or at least a drawing on what you are planning.

Is your 6-3 with a ground? If not you have a real problem all ready.

I would run the 6/3 nm down the wall thru a piece of 1 1/4 inch PVC (I think that will fit) then an LB directly to an outside box. I am not sure the inlet boxes have a ko big enough otherwise your method would work but you will have extra splices.
