I have a new shed build in the design stages, so no actual construction has taken place yet. I found a really good deal on a pre hung exterior door but it is built for a 2x6 framed rough opening and I will be using 2x4's.
This seems like it is still fairly straightforward - install flush against the exterior and there will be a gap on the interior. At this time I don't have any intention of finishing the interior so I'm not too worried about the door not sitting flush.
Am I missing any obvious issues with the install or threshold (interior swing)? Should the rough opening be framed out with 2x6 and tie into the 2x4 wall? Better to do it right from the start and purchase the correct size door?
