Need to change location of toilet in bathroom so need to run ABS pipe thru' stud.
Is it ok to run a 2" ABS pipe thru' 2x4 stud (non-bearing)?
60% of 4" stud width (actual size 3 1/2") is around 2 1/8", but the OD of 2" ABS is 2 3/8". It's 1/2" short.
Do I need to upgrade to 2x6 studs to run 2" ABS pipe? Or it'd still pass inspection?
