was thinking somebody told me once it was not code compliant to open an exterior door and have to make one step down. Have to have a landing of sorts same height as threshold. Old way was a step. Landing or no landing ,,,that is the question??? If I need landing what size should it be??
Dont think replacing one step and slanted to house short walk needs a building permit. Threshold is about 14 inches above dirt level. since no railing required a continuous step around so you can step off any of three ways.
Making small project a concrete solid pour. walk is 20 feet by 3 feet total including new step,possible landing area. Northern Nebraska location if it matters. Tell me what I need to know!
