My model 560 humidifier is plumbed as follows: faucet-like shut-off at cold water wipe, 1/4 inch copper tubing to the solenoid valve. The water flowing through the gives off a high pitch sound that carries through the house. I'd like to replace the shut off with a gate valve and "fix" the solenoid. Any recommendations?
