So I just finished installing my new furnace... Checked EVERY fitting 3 times... Everything was PERFECT! Started filling the system, everything looks GREAT... Except a TINY leak at the bottom most point on the boiler (OF COURSE!)... Because my genius self missed the teflon paste on that one... Is there any alternative that I can use to somewhat cleanly seal it? A putty of sorts? I dont want to use JB Weld or anything like that, but that pipe will make a mess if i have to cut it and drain the entire system back out just to put teflon paste on it... :( TIA...

I did dope the sh*t out of it... Thats why i'm shocked its leaking... and it was fairly tight before i soldered it too... which is why i'm like WTF....
Whoa, we may have found our problem. You said this is a furnace, right? What on earth are you soldering? I was thinking we were talking about gas connections, which should never never never be soldered.

If it is part of a boiler and you have sweat connections that transition to threaded connections, you MUST do the soldering first, then make the threaded connections with pipe dope after it cools off. Or use teflon tape, which can take the heat.

If your soldered connections (copper pipe) are leaking, you overheated the joint, had water/steam in the pipe near the joint, or had an unclean joint. There's no way to fix it, it must be redone.

I called a friend who is a plumber, and he explained that i probably overheated the joint... I dont have a union there, so I did what he recommended which was take a rag with ice cold water, and wrap the pasted connections while i did the soldering, and that looks much better... doesn't look like the paste is gone this time... And I tightened the fittings much more than i did before... Furnace is refilled and heating back up now... **Crossing Fingers**
