I have seen a few pro's leaving in the old compressor suction line filter even after putting in a new compressor after the old compressor failed via an burnout with acid....When I questioned them they say it is not needed...to put in a new suction filter.

Would any of the PROs here leave in the dity suction line filter?

Copeland states in an AE thet do approve of addatives to the compressor oil what does this mean acid away is s no no?

If it were a burn out then the old driers, both the high and low side if they were there, should have been replaced.

The low side drier is recommended to be removed after only a few days.

Acid Away is good but a solid nitrogen charge/cleaning followed by a triple evacuation and new filters is always best.
