Bathroom sink size question

I am putting in a new 24 inch vanity in my bathroom. What size sink should I get? The vanity is going to be flush with the back and side walls. I am feeling I should get a 24 inch sink since I do not want it hanging over on one side. Will a 24 inch sink work?

A book I'm reading now recommends a minimum of 4" from the sides of the sink to the edge of the countertop or to the side-splash on an adjacent wall. It also recommends a maximum of 21" from the front edge of the countertop to the faucet handles to allow people in wheelchairs to reach them. Also to use lever (not round) handles to allow a fist to turn the handles.

Hope this helps in your planning and choice of sink and fixtures,
