Hi,

Do the dampers need additional 24V on the 2-zone controller board? I thought that the system has a 24V (Red wire) connected to RH terminal on the controller board so don't need the additional 24V connected to the 2-zone controller board 24V terminals. Is that right? Or the additional 24V is needed for dampers?

how many dampers? Just 2 dampers or do you have multiple dampers per zone? Which zoning system do you have? Typically it is a good idea to add an additional transformer just to ensure you are not straining the furnace transformer too much.

2-zone only, regular zoning for downstairs and upstairs. So the dampers require additional outside 24V and not from the system 24V?
Which terminal should the system 24V (Red wire) connect to, terminal RH?

Which terminal should the system 24V (Red wire) connect to, terminal RH? Yes, it should connect to Rh and probably Rc as well. Did you not get an install manual?

please answer my questions.............

Sorry, no manual. There are 5 wires from system, red to RH, green to G, yellow to Y1, white to W1, Blue to RC or B?

blue to B RC is cooling hot if there is a terminal for it. There may not be a Rc terminal on the zone control. There is NO Rc terminal on the furnace control board. Rc is a terminal for cooling HOT. B and Rc is not the same.

On the 2 zone control board, system terminals as below: RC, B, 0, Y2, Y1, W1, W2, G, RH.
What the terminal RC for, 24V common line? RH is for 24V hot line, so what the terminal 0 for?
System wires connection: Red-RH (24V hot); Blue-B (24V common); Green-G; White-W1; yellow-Y1.
Compressor lines: Yellow to Y1 also? common line (blue or other color) to terminal blue also?
Please verify the connection. Just leave the terminal RC, 0 empty if no use?

please post a picture of the board or find a model number so I can verify.

Typical terminal definitions
Rh - 24v hot Heating
Rc -24V hot cooling
C - 24v common
W - heating
G - Fan
Y - Compressor
O- reversing valve cooling
B - reversing valve Heating

I measured the zone board that Rh, Rc, and B is the same line. Is the board burned? At least Rh and B should not be the same line?

I couldn't find the manual. The zone controller is Bryant, Zone Perfect Two-Zone. Couldn't find the model #, there is a stick # CEAS430093-02 on the board.

I found that it uses Carrier's board "WeatherMaker Two-Zone board (CEPL)". They are almost the same. little different but no wiring diagram.

My system is Bryant, cooling and heating system is on the attic, the condenser (compressor) is on the ground (outside of the house).

Yes, this one exactly (the 2nd one from your reply, ZonPerfect Two-Zone with a tree image on the left of brand name). Thanks for the Instruction.
I don't know if the board is OK or not. I measured board that on System Input Terminals, RC, B, RH is the same line (connected each other), is that right? My system is single speed cooling and heating system. There are 5 lines come from the system (furnace), R, G, Y, W, and B, other 2 lines from compressor, Y, Common C (any color).
My connection: R-RH; G-G; system Y and compressor Y all to Y1; W-W1; system B to compressor Common C not to board terminal B. Are they right?
Should additional 24V be connected to Damper 24V Terminals?

E = J6 jumper−Connects Rc and Rh internally. Is this something you are installing for the first time or are you having problems with the system?




yes, I would put an additional transformer on for the dampers. Probably at least a 50va

Thank you. Now I know Rc and Rh connected internally. What about the terminal B (even if no wire connect to it now), does it connect with Rc and Rh internally also? On Damper 24v terminals, which on is for 24v hot and common except the ground terminal?
