Yellow wire for occupancy sensor?

I recently had some closets in an old house rewired professionally for lights and occupancy sensors. I am trying to install the lights and I am having trouble understanding how to connect the wires.
The wires coming out of the box for the light include two white wires joined together, a black, and a yellow wire (hot?).
The occupancy sensor box has one black and one yellow.
The occupancy sensor on the other hand has two black wires.
My instinct is to connect the light with the white, and black and yellow put together.
