As I type the guys are cleaning up outside from my new roof install with the weathered wood Landmark Premiums. A project I spent many days "specing" out and interviewing contractors with much appreciated help from this board. And everything with the install was going great until I got home from work and saw them carrying away from the job boxes of Owens Corning VentSure when I specifically ordered Shingle Vent II in the contract :furious:. Unfortunatly while I checked everything else in the morning, the ridge vent wasn't in sight.
So I called my sales person a few minutes ago, who was very apologetic

, but said the OC VentSure is pretty much the same as the Air Vent ShingleVent II because they are both external baffle vents, but they would switch it out for me if I wanted.
I specifically chose the ShingleVent II for its performance how much worse is the VentSure?
And can they just switch them out? What issues could it cause that they are not telling me? Is sizing an issue? What about pulling and driving another set of nails through the Roofers Select felt and into the roof deck?
What would you guys do??
