I am looking to replace a non-working wood stove in my basement with a new stove and chimney. The previous owners removed an existing stove pipe chimney, so except for the brick hearth, I'm basically starting from scratch. I'm looking for some suggestions on the chimney. The hearth location puts the chimney out the back of the house and will require some angling to avoid a window. Is it possible to run the chimney inside the house between the ceiling joists? If not, how much of an angle can I put in the pipe outside?
