Hello i want to extend my patio that is cement already i got a price of 1500 for the job i wanted to do in cement it's a lil to much i was then thinking to get a wood deck installed rather then concrete. Its a small area to do im.just asking its going to be about 4inch off dirt level. Is that ok can i have it piched also away from house? Any information would be great.

And there is no reason to sloop a wooden deck.
How about a picture of the area in question.
A few issues that need to be considered.
How close would that make the deck to the doors threshold.
You never want to build any stoop, deck, patio, even with the threshold.
By having a deck that close to grade there's not going to be enough air flow under it to dry it out and it's not going to last as long.

For my 10'x10' pressure treated deck I was quoted $1200 3 years ago (Canada). That comes to $12xsq.ft. For 30'x5' it would be $1800. I don't know how much contractors charge in your location, but I think $1500 for concrete is a good price.
I went with DIY cedar deck and the price ballooned to 4k and it took me 4 months to build working on weekends. Now I would think twice...
