I am currently setting up my shop and in doing so i have some new equipment i am installing. i have a 5 ton package unit and a 60 gallon air compressor both with be located outside the building within a few feet of each other. there is about a 90-100 foot run to where they will be located to the panel box and no existing wiring is available for them so i will have to run new. this is a commercial space. i would like to make sure the wiring is up to code and was wondering what needed to be done to make that happen.
the motor on the air compressor has a a label that reads:
240v 15A60hz 1ph
the heat pump label is:
208-230v 60hz 1ph
it also says max amperage 60A
my question is what would be the most cost effective way to wire these both? seperate lines or a heavier single line set to a breaker box near them? also any wiring tips or tricks as far as conduit? can i use the cantex or does it have to be metal? or maybe even the flexible metal with wire already in it?
Thanks in advance and if you have further questions please ask away!
