Here we go-

Wired a fan/ light and an additional light fixture on a single circuit. Easy. Problem: When the fan is on, the other light shuts off (the separate fixture, not the one attached to the fan). It doesn't matter if the fan is running on high medium or low...

You need to either provide a drawing of your wiring or explain it in words. Start with the power feed cable and explain what happens to the black and white wires going to and from switch(s) and fixtures.
