i am making a vanity mirror for my daughter and need help figuring out how to wire 11 sockets together and then to a cord so they all work when plugged in
each socket has a white and black factory installed wire coming out

Wire all the black together and the narrow pin on the plug, that would be the gold screw.
Wire all the whites together and tot he wider pin on the plug.

Ok thx but how do I get them all connected ? Use another piece of wire,? because they are all only 8 inches long off the socket and my vanity is 3 foot tall .

You talking about using some zip cord and tape to wire a string of lights?

Sounds very unsafe and not at all a proper way of doing this.

You will need some sort of metal box to contain all the connections and bring power into the unit.
