I am finishing my basement. I need to add more romex wires to the main panel. The wires will come from joist spaces or holes on the joists. I have two questions about how to run wire from the ceiling to the main panel:

1. Should I use conduit from the ceiling to the main panel box or I can just let the bare romex cables go down from the ceiling to the panel?

2. can I have two romex cables share one panel hole with or without the conduit?
