Hello all,

We painted about 10 days ago, today I wiped part of wall with a wet cloth, now that part "shines" in different light from the wall around it.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this without having to roll over the affected area again?

Cheap paint ( maybe?) that you did not wait long enough to cure. You will need to paint it again, probably the whole wall if it was not flat paint. You should wait about 30 days before trying to "wipe" it

You don't say what kind of texture it is so I will take a guess and say maybe the texture had not completely set up then you used a water based primer and paint and this softened the texture and when you wiped it it flattened. If this is true you will need to let it cure then sand the spot, retexture, prime and paint.
