I notice the brick mortar on my outside window sill is crumbling in certain areas. It’s only on one window sill as shown in the pictures below. Is this something that should be repaired? And if so, what is the best way to go about this? Thanks

I used to watch the home improvement TV show "Holmes on Homes" years ago and he was no fan of the brick sill like you have. I have the same by the way. Holmes preferred a solid piece of stone as it basically does away with all of the mortar joints which can fail. Something like this pic:
