Hi there, I have some windows installed in my basement that look like this:

I have finished drywalling, and painting. But i'm not sure what to do with the window sill. Do I put drywall there? Or a jamb? Or something else? And what do I do with the edge that is touching the window? Some caulking?

That's up to you on how you want it to look.
Could be done with all 1X clear pine in the jambs and just picture framed with casing.
A wider piece of pine cut out wide enough to make a stool (the inside is called a stool, the outside is a sill) some pine in the jambs, an aprin then casing on three sides.

OK, sounds good. What do I put in the gaps between the jamb and the window?

Usually I build a plywood box the width needed. use shims on sides, bottom and top and nail into place. Then trim like a regular window.

Have also seen drywall on top and sides with wood (stained or painted) on the bottom and sticking out past, like the old windows.
