I want to create a non load bearing wall inside a house. It connects like the letter T with a current load bearing wall close to a sliding glass window. How far away from the sliding glass window does the T connection need to be? I mean what is the minimum recommended and minimum code clearance between a window and a non load bearing interior wall?

Got a picture drawing, something?
No code I know of just have to have enough room for the casing. The more room you leave the easer it will be to finish the drywall.

Figure from the corner, a stud with some blocks for spacers between it and the corner, should work. Drawing of the plan helps, to know what you are dealing with, along with pictures. If you do the blocks from the corner, that would give you aprox. 5 1/4 inches with 2x4 blocks. If you use 1x4 blocks as spacers, that would give you 4 1/4 inch clearance from the corner.
