My house has vinyl siding, which has been melted along the roof line slightly, under this siding is a wood paneling, in which i see frequently in my neighborhood on finished homes, just seemingly painted. One side of my house has just the wood, no siding. I want to know if I can pull the siding off, powerwash and fill in holes, then apply a layer of kilz and then a water resistant exterior paint....any advice is welcome, thanks.. Kristy

Almost impossible to predict the condition of the siding underneath the vinyl.

In my opinion there is only one way to find out.

Good news is, if y'all are careful removing the vinyl it can be placed back on the house.
