I'm working on the plans to finish my basement and am leaning toward the 1" foam with 3/4 OSB or Plywood over top option.

The pool table is about 1000 pounds.

What do you think? am i going to have a crushed floor?

Also- i live in Chicago and wanted to insulate the floor, otherwise i would probably not do a subfloor.

Thanks for any advice.

When I did it I used 1/2 blue foam and 3" long Tap Cons. Floor does not move at all and the screws grabed great.
Unless you can find screws longer then 3" I'm not sure if they would hold with that thick a foam.
The 1/2" was enough to give me a theramal break and it really made the floor warmer.
