I Just finished my first major DIY project and am looking for some critique. Also want to see if you think this is going to be stable. I've walked on it and it's still standing. But don't want to put others in danger. It seemed to hold up for over 10 years, all I did was replace some joists and change some connections.

I used 4x structural screws for the double 2X8 beams for the angled part...interested in your thoughts on that 8ft span with no mid support its just screwed into the main deck using 6 inch headlok screws. It was attached originally by Lags but was only a single 2X8. I replaced 3 rotten joists and added joist hangers to the angled portions of the deck. they were just toe nailed in before. I'm not a fan of the orginal beams on the main part of the deck just being nailed into the piling. I may go back and add some structural screws too. the structural screws seem to be pretty strong vs lags Wood Lumber

Thanks!

No hangers on the angled beams. I may add some blocking up under the beam once the water gets low. Thinking maybe a 2 foot piece of 2x8 that I attach under the main deck and overlaps the angled beam. I guess some sort of reinforcement bracket should have been used there. I just didn't think hanger would look right fro the outside
