Hello community! I could really use your help here. I had an electrician install this stud mounted box for my chandelier. He said this would be much better due to the weight of the unit (80-pounds) as opposed to metal type. We got into the stud in 3 places. I have had to take the screws out and put them back in a couple times (not the large middle one though, that has stayed there) in order to get the lighting bracket up there. I am hoping that did not weaken the strength.

I got the unit up there, wired it, it is working, and got the canopy nice and snug against the ceiling. The canopy really rests on 4 acorn nuts (standard for holding a canopy in place). It seems crazy to me, but I am guessing those 4 acorn nuts can hold that much weight? The screws are of course secure in the bracket in the canopy housing. A guy at Lowe's told me those 4 acorn nuts will no doubt hold that much weight.

Overall, between the light box and the bracket, do you see any red flags here? I started to put the glass pieces, got extremely nervous, and came here to see what you all think. 80-pounds holding is the goal.

Thank you for any feedback!

You have pictured a fan rated saddle box, which will allow for the attachment of a ceiling fan brace. Exactly how is this chandelier attached to it? I see wire braces, but not sure how they play into it.

It is a ceiling electrical box. "Ceiling fan or light fixture mounts directly to ceiling joist". So yes, it is fan rated, but also for anything else which needs to be connected. One of the reviews states the guy hung from it and it was fine lol.

I uploaded a picture of the bracket in the album. The bracket is attached to the ceiling saddle box, just like it would a normal box for a fan. Form there the canopy attaches to the 4 screws coming down.

I just uploaded the instructions for you to see as well. I installed this piece exactly as the instructions, but used the saddle box.

OK, it all makes sense with the new pictures. Yes, attaching the round bracket to the joist via the screws makes it solid and the lamp will hold itself via the pins with the round nuts on them. You should have no problem at all. Saddle boxes are the boss when needed, and are solid.
