i'm trying to install a recessed soap niche and was wondering if this will fit?

my 2x4s measure 3 1/4 across and it seems like there isn't any recessed niches that fits my bill.

the recess linked is a 3.5 depth according to this chart.

Add your drywall into the equation, and they look fine to me.

Since this items is "ready to tile" I assume you're putting it in as part of building/tiling a tub surround? If so, put up the cement board first - that will give you half an inch more depth.
