I am installing a vapor barrier in the crawl space of a brick home. Many recommend acoustic sealant for attaching the VB to the wall. I am having trouble finding an acoustic sealant locally and was wondering if anyone has used OSI SC175 for this purpose? Thanks!

Where are you located? Pretty much any building supply store, big box or other in North America carries it.

I am located in Columbia SC. I found OSI SC175 at Home Depot but wanted to know if anyone thinks this product would not work in this application. (Adhering Vapor Barrier to a brick wall in a crawl space.) Thanks!

I noticed this product is not recommended for polypropylene which is what the vapor barrier I purchased is made from. A friend who installed a VB in his crawl space recommended Locktite PL Premium which is not listed as an acoustical sealant but is polyurethane based. However, this product is also not recommended for polypropylene.lain:
