* leak in zone*
if the heat and circulator are not running, and the zone copper pipe is punctured... Will there be an endless leak of water or will the water in the zone just drain out? Or will the zone keep filling from the flow as long as the flown value is open?

The circulator is not a perfect seal when stopped. So water will continue to leak out of a break in the pipe loop further on unless the boiler does not have autofill from a water line.
