It just starting doing this yesterday. The noise is normal, but usually one long continuous sound. Right now it sounds like its gasping for air. Also, the water level fills up higher than this.

I opened the tank to take a look. I believe the sound is coming from when the water is refilling from the hose. I never actually looked at it in action before, but I believe it suppose to be a continuous stream instead of pumping over and over. Here is a video,

I actually have the identical Dyson model. Never had a loss of suction even though, however I'd bet that some thing is caught inside the passages main to the canister. I'd eliminate the canister and study the regions turned around in pink (see p.C). The vacuum cleanerbottom piece comes off effortlessly. As others have stated, you do want to do a little recurring preservation on it each 12 months or so. There are filters that need to be cleaned, and the cyclonic chamber additionally gets included in collected crud.

That refill line is supposed to be clipped to the edge (draining into it) of the overflow tube.

Are you saying the hose is suppose to be squirting the water into the pipe and not into the tank?

Whats the name of the canister so I can look up how to remove and inspect it? I never done this so I dont know the lingo. What did you mean by (see p.C.)?

Yes. That is correct.
Thanks! This fixed the water level issue. However, its still making the weird suction/pumping noise. I think its coming from the blue thing that ferzonse99 mentioned. I believe its called the valve? Since I have no experience with this, I think I should just replace that whole unit instead of trying to take it apart. My question is, can I just replace it with any ''valve'' unit?

You have a defective fill valve. It is constantly turning on and off.

Fluidmaster is the best brand but because of the location of the flush lever (directly over the fill valve) you may not be able to use a Fluidmaster. What is the brand of the valve you presently have. It is embossed on the fill valve. You should be able to use a Korky.

Have you looked in the bowl while this is happening?
Not a lot that can go wrong with a toilet. Either the fill valve or the "flapper".
Is water running in the bowl during this noise?

Thanks! I will attempt to replace this on the weekend.

Yes, I think the bowl is normal other than the fill level being low. This was fixed after windows pointed out the hose should be placed inside the overflow pipe. The noise happens when the tank is trying to refill water.
