I'd like to install something like the aprilair 700 into my HVAC system, but the only place it will fit would be the same box that contains my ac evaporator unit. Is that ok?

Post a picture.

If you have a cased coil, you can't cut into it.

If uncased, you can on the right side but there's a risk of damaging the a/c coil - not recommended.

Best to put in on the return and the bypass on the side, above the coil box.

I think this ADP unit is real similar to the one I have. My returns are like 2' diameter ducts, so no flat surface is available for the mounting,
