Whole House Fan Recommendations?

Some appliance brands are all about the same. I don't know if that's true of whole house fans or not, so that's why I am asking. Are there brands to look for? Brands to avoid?

Also, any installation tips would be appreciated.

Don't have the fan so big that it steals combustion air.

Search the Web for "class action" and "wrongful death" lawsuits on brands, makes and models.
