I'm trying to figure out who manufactures the return air grates that go into the floor that are then strong enough to walk on. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just strong and low cost. White or brown would be ok.. I've found a few random sizes online but I'm guessing if I can figure out who actually makes them, then I can find a good source locally or online. I'm also interested if anyone has an idea of what standard sizes are for these..

Thanks,

Jeff

I found a local supplier in Portland.

There is a company called johnsonair.com They are right here in Portland OR and they sell duct fittings and all sorts of supplies to the public.

They have lots of pdfs of parts on their website.

Actually I went to Johnson Air and JohnStone Air. They both had them. I got the floor grille from Johnson Air for 38 bucks, John Stone carried the Tru Aire wall registers with the adjustable fins for only 17 bucks for a 8 x 14 register..
