Basically, the title says it all...

I have a Fleck 2510 Softener head with a flowmeter. It looks like there's white calcium deposits on the part where the cable attaches to the flowmeter.

Is this normal? Should I do something to keep it clean? Should I just let it be?

Thanks!

Post a picture.
Need to get the water tested to see if it needs to be treated and what it needs to be treated for to get rid of some of the minerals.
If you it's coating the insides of all your pipes, faucets, and the bottom of your hot water tank.

Thanks for the response. Here's a pic of what I'm talking about. It's kind of hard to see, but it looks like the white deposits are around the base of the flowmeter and not the cable itself.

Thanks for any advice on what to do about this!
