I have a Whirlpool Ref/Freezer Model GC3SHEXNT02 thjat I stopped the Ice Maker last fall due not using ice cubes. When I tried to turn the Ice maker on this spring the unit get colds but the water does not fill the tray. I can reach up behind a door and feel the tray is cold but no water. Is there an easy fix or am I relegated to making ice in ice cube trays.

If it has a water dispenser, does it work? If the water supply to the fridge is intact, it might be either (a) water in the internal tubing has frozen since it wasn't being used or (b) you may need a new flow control valve. I don't know your model, but we have a WP side-by-side and don't use a lot of ice and it doesn't freeze - designs and tube routing may differ. You might have been better off to let it just not produce because of no need rather than shutting it off. If it is the flow control, how big a deal they are to replace depends.

You might try a defrost and see if it loosens things up.
