My refrigerator freezer door front panel ice dispenser LED lights are not working. The dispenser and all other functions seem to work. We had an open ground from the power company and many electronic devices were damaged. I need to know how to remove the panel for examination. Does the ring pop off on the front?
The www.whirlpool.com site shows a panel with 6 lights. Mine has 4. The model number is ED5NHGXVQ01. The part number it gives (with 6 lights) is 2180279. Maybe mine will cover up the middle 2 light positions, and have nothing there behind the cover. I have attached photos, parts lists, etc.
