whirlpool GS6SHEXNS00 ice maker not working

I installed a new ice maker unit in my whirlpool GS6SHEXNS00 two days ago. It has not dispensed water into the ice maker yet. I had a repair person out a while back how wanted $600 to fix it. When he was here he put his own control mech on the ice maker and then the water was dispensed into the ice maker. Any ideas of what I to check next???

$600.00 wow, that outrageous. Since some hack tried to rake you over the coals, I'll see if I can help you. the first thing you must do is open the freezer door and look at the optic lights on the right side of the freezer and tell me how many times it is blinking
